Fluoroscopic Kid is the creation of Jeremiah Isaacs. Since 1998 he has been creating experimental electronic music under this name performing in Dallas, Denton, and Austin. His music incorporates microtonal scales and odd-metered rhythms emerging from an array of computers and hand made or modified controllers.

Based out of Austin, each performance is unique and live with repurposed input devices or accompanied by electric bass. Continuing his quest for the expression inherrent in acoutic instruments, he is currently learning to use the Yamaha WX-5, a midi wind instrument. Along with the music programming language Supercollider, the wind controller allows him to exert a very human level of expression over otherwise artificial and otherworldly sounds.

Jeremiah created the persona of Fluoroscopic Kid after studying composition at University of North Texas.. The first release, the untitled cassette EP, was a collection of found sounds, cassette to cassette overdubbing with synthesizers and homemade noisemakers, and snippets from television and movies. Performing in Denton at Cosuardstockapaloozathon, cafes, Rubber Gloves, Gatti's on the square, and private parties, he brought together an ungainly collection of keyboards, computers, and cassette decks into an idiosyncratic live set.

Later releases, Honkeytronica and Soft Drink Jihad (also on Sonic therapy Records), evince a move towards an organized and harmonic style: more refined, but still irreverent. He continues to perform in Austin and Dallas events including Oscillate and Crossproduct as well as having opened for Hans-Joachim Roedelius. His music has become more pointedly experimental and continues to waver between the sublime and the grotesque, still searching for sounds yet unheard.
